I have heard of some programs that attempt to implement a more or less automatic gain control on the master volume output, so all audio output is at about the same level, and of course there are also hardware AGCs, but AGC clearly isn't what you're looking for. But, I can see where when you don't it could be very annoying. I use a keyboard that has a built-in volume control, so it's very easy to handle changing it as needed. I'm actually rather surprised CoD doesn't have that selectable option. Sometimes that function is provided in an app by an 'equalizer' or 'advanced' settings in some option labeled kindof like it has something to do with audio control, e.g. Sometimes it's a matter of using a full-featured version of an app instead of using it's basic OEM package version. I think Windows programmers used to assume each application would provide its own ability to sync or de-sync with the master volume controls, and many applications do provide that ability to set their own independent volume control. That's one freeware program I've not seen for XP.
